Newsreader and presenter Sarah-Jane Mee became the first female lead anchor of Sky News Sunrise in 2009.
She has been presenting since 2008 across a range of Sky News programming, as anchor, newsreader, presenter, and sports presenter.

Sarah-Jane Mee is best known for reporting on current affair headlines, entertainment, and sports for Sky News as lead anchor, guest presenter, and newsreader.
Before joining Sky, Sarah-Jane worked for ITV Central, presenting the sport on Central News West, and hosting Soccer Monday. She also presented Central Tonight, Central Soccer Night, Hancock’s Half-Time, and Pulling Power. She left to join Sky Sports in 2008.
In 2019, she took over the afternoon show which was re-named The Sarah-Jane Mee Show (2019-2023). And then in 2023 she launched The UK Tonight with Sarah-Jane Mee (2023-present), which was full of original journalism, debates, and powerful interviews highlighting the important topics in the UK at the time. Interviewees include Tim Peake, Dame Helen Mirren, and Sir David Attenborough.
Sarah-Jane has covered breaking stories such as the 2015 General Election, the 2016 Brussels terror attacks, the Manchester Arena bombings, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry’s wedding, and was the first to break the news of Margaret Thatcher’s death in 2013.
She has also presented on Live With Kay Burley (2008-10), Sky Midnight News (2012), and Sky News Breakfast (2021). She has also covered sports programmes such as Cricket AM (2009-12), Sir Bradley Wiggins: The Hour Live (2015), Football First, Saturday Night Football, and the UEFA Champion’s League.
She can also be heard on LBC radio on The Morning News, and the Nick Ferrari Breakfast Show, and has co-hosted Heart’s biggest Midlands breakfast show with Ed James. She has been featured in publications including The Daily Mirror, Hello Magazine, Grazia Magazine, Closer Magazine, Good Housekeeping, You Magazine, and Woman’s Own Magazine.
She now uses her versatility and friendly nature on the after-dinner speaker circuit. She has hosted live events including:
