Mark Kelly’s academic achievements provide a solid foundation for his professional excellence. He holds a 1st Class Honours Degree in Business Studies from TUI Dublin, and a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management Planning from the Michael Smurfit Business School.
His professional career in the world of AI and technology started in 2007 as a Director of SThree, a STEM-specialist talent partner. Since leaving them in 2018, Mark has become the Chief Customer Officer at recruitment specialist Alldus International. Building on the work of Alldus, he founded the AI In Action Dublin meetup, aiming to create a community of experts around AI in Ireland.
His entrepreneurial spirit is evident through his co-founding of AI Ireland, and the AI Awards, a company devoted to promoting artificial intelligence in Ireland. He has since won numerous international awards, including winning the No 1 Recruiter Award at the 2012 Recruiter Awards out of 27,000 entrants! He has reviewed over 750 real-world AI applications and he aims to help 1 million people in Ireland to become AI literate.

In 2018, Mark set up his podcast AI Ireland. He has interviewed over 600 leaders in AI and machine learning for his podcasts, with topics including NASA engineering, robotics, cloud operations, data analytics, blockchains, messaging platforms, call centres, energy, cognitive automation, business goals, and many others.
In 2017, Mark made a TEDxTallaght talk titled “How One Act of Kindness a Day Can Change Your Life”. In the talk he explained how after meeting over 5,000 people within recruitment and via his podcast, he has discovered just how powerfully random acts of kindness can impact on productivity.
In 2023, Mark published the book AI Unleashed: Navigating the AI Revolution as a Business Executive: Demystifying Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI: A Practical Guide for Business Leaders.
