Jaz Singh has emerged from the BBC’s The Traitors as “the most trustworthy man in the UK”. Following his success, he was nicknamed Jazatha Christie, thanks to his run into the final.
Since being catapulted into the public sphere, he has quickly become a regular on our television screens, including filming a piece on Agatha Christie for ITV’s This Morning, and appearing on the BBC Asian Network Radio.

Since his appearance on The Traitor’s, there has been a huge amount of interest in Jaz Sing’s personal family story of betrayal and mistrust.
During an episode of the show, Jaz explained that his father had been his idol, until he found out that he had a second family that no-one had known about.
“There’s been no reaching out from him. I think he understands and accepts that he should go his way and we should go our way. I think he respects that fact, that obviously now he probably understands the level of pain that he’s caused.”
And it was this honesty that brought him so many fans; “It’s given people encouragement to come forward and come to me to say, ‘thank you for making us feel not alone’”.
He has opened up about this bombshell on the radio station BBC Asian Network, as well as on ITV’s Loose Women. He has also appeared on Comic Relief: Funny For Money (2024), and on BBC Radio 2 to discuss, not only his experience on The Traitors and the confession about his father, but also about his Punjabi and Sikh heritage.
Outside of his television work, Jaz has a range of interests such as football – he’s a dedicated Manchester United fan – fishing and angling, music, fashion, cooking, and culture. He is a proud Punjabi and Sikh Mancunian, and lives in Manchester with his wife Harneet.
