Tom Savigar is an expert in company change and development, visions and models, and foresight and transformation, specialising in building next-generation enterprises.
After graduating with a degree in fashion textiles and business studies, Tom co-founded Sense Worldwide, a company that helps manage a global network of creatives and promotes collaboration to increase business and product innovation. He stayed as Director here for five years before joining The Future Laboratory in 2004 as their Chief Growth Officer.
As a senior partner at The Future Laboratory from 2005 to 2020, Tom’s prowess in trend forecasting, consumer insights, foresight, brand strategy, and innovation steered iconic organizations such as Sony, Blackberry, Intel, General Motors, Pernod Ricard, H&M, BMW Group, and L’Oreal Corporation towards future resilience. His strategic influence extended across diverse sectors, including retail, technology, fashion, automotive, and beyond, enriching each brand’s trajectory.
After recognising that, in order to achieve the best within a company, stakeholder psychology and motivation needed to be more considered and utilised. And that’s when Avansere was born. The name is the Norwegian word for ‘advance’ and that’s exactly what they aim to do.
In 2020, Tom initiated Avansere AS, a trailblazing agency headquartered in Norway, dedicated to exploring, designing, and propelling the most effective next-generation brands. Avansere’s fundamental mission revolves around harnessing the potential of enterprise to champion regenerative practices, ensuring the thriving coexistence of people and planet.
Tom Savigar has also worked as a freelance consultant for Design Network, helping the design industry adapt for the future, for Studio Banana as a Lead Strategist, building bespoke creative solutions for change-making companies, and as a partner of Society Lab, helping organisations to build their ability to lead transformation.
Since 2021, Tom Savigar has sat as a member of the Global Judging Panel for Significant Insights Media, helping create their 30 Under 30 list, identifying the next generation of global insights leaders, and as a board trustee for Creative Conscious, helping to combine international creativity to make positive change.
Tom’s passion lies in decoding intricate puzzles and facilitating seamless transitions for organizations across multifaceted sectors like consumer electronics, food manufacturing, tourism, retail, arts, culture, and finance.
