Tim Shipman studied History at Churchill College, Cambridge, graduating in 1996 before earning a Masters in International Relations. His journalism career began in 1997 when he became a national newspaper journalist for the Express group of papers before being appointed political correspondent for the Daily Mail in 2005.
He worked for the Sunday Telegraph as a Washington DC correspondent, covering the 2008 US elections and Barack Obama’s campaign and subsequent victory.
