Sam attributes some of her entrepreneurial spirit to her dad, who passed away when she was just eight years old. During her time in The Apprentice she work a West Ham badge inside her suit jacket to feel her father’s presence and as a lucky charm. When her jacket was taken to the dry cleaners and the pin lost, she sewed the West Ham logo from a pair of socks, attaching inside her jacket to keep the lucky charm alive.
Losing her dad at eight years old, Sam had to grow up fast, with her mum a single parent to three children. She says she saw how hard her mum grafted and knew that was the way to do it.
At the age of 18, Sam set up her own recruitment company Raspberry Recruitment, with a small office in London which she stopped when she was headhunted for a sales job in Malta
Sam was a highly popular candidate on the 2024 series of The Apprentice, becoming the seventh person to be fired after after failing to impress during a cereal-themed task in which she was project manager. On her exit, Lord Sugar commended her for her honesty and said “I can tell that you get on with everyone and that is a good virtue in business.”
Sam had been a popular fans’ choice and many were shocked to see her exit from the programme. Looking on the positive side, Sam took the experience as a great motivator and took her business to the next level, developing and app version of The Mummy Movement.
