Mamta has worked for several prominent international firms, including Hasbro, Mattel, Mars Chocolate, Polaroid, Coca-Cola European Partners, Dyson, and Diageo PLC. Her roles have spanned manufacturing, project management, engineering, quality, packaging development, and sustainability in industries such as the toy industry and food and drinks sector.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mamta has been actively involved in empowering women and BAME communities and advocating for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. She has sat on the IET Manufacturing Policy Panel and served on the Management Today’s Inspiring Women in Business Advisory board for a number of years.

She is also visiting Professor for a notable London based University. Having previously been a lecturer in both engineering and international business at Strathclyde University.

Additionally, she is passionate about her role as an Ambassador for Dyslexia Scotland, highlighting her commitment to inclusivity and supporting individuals with learning differences.

Mamta’s passion for promoting diversity and women’s rights in business is evident in her advocacy work and mentoring activities. She has chaired engineering awards and mentored others in fulfilling their potential, particularly in STEM-related fields. Mamta believes in driving the connection between creativity, sustainable product development, and engineering to foster innovation and positive impact.

Mamta’s achievements and dedication to her field have been recognised through various awards and accolades. In 2004, she was a finalist for the UK’s Young Achiever Leadership and Diversity Awards. She was also honoured as the WES IET Young Women Engineer of the Year in 2007 and ranked among the top four globally for MBA Student of the Year in 2008.

Recently she won the British Indian Awards Best in Science & Engineering, and in 2023 she was nominated for Women of the Year. These
accomplishments demonstrate her strong leadership and contribution to the field of engineering and management.

Her experiences and perspectives have been featured in Cosmopolitan as part of its award-winning Portrait of an Engineer campaign. These features help to shine a spotlight on her as a role model and break the stereotype of engineering and leadership roles as traditionally male-dominated.
