Lisa’s Faulkner first taste of acting came in 1992 when she stared in The Lover. This was swiftly followed by A Feast at Midnight (1994), Dangerfield (1995), Casualty (1995), Brookside (1997-98), Holby City (1999-2001), Spooks (2002), New Tricks (2005), Murdoch Mysteries (2010-2021), Death in Paradise (2011), EastEnders (2017), Waterloo Road (2022), and The Madame Blanc Mysteries (2024).
Whilst her love for acting hasn’t gone anywhere, Laura is now a popular TV presenter, chef, and guest. She was the narrator of Heir Hunters from 2008 to 2016 and appeared in 2019 on Celebrity Gogglebox. She appeared on the 2010 series of Celebrity Masterchef, going on to win the show and win the heart of John Torode, who she ended up marrying.
She co-hosted Real Food Family Cook Off with Matt Dawson in 2011, followed by What’s Cooking in 2013 with Ben Shephard. She reunited with Shephard in 2015 to co-host This Morning Summer. Passionate about involving children in cooking, she presented the CBBC series Crash My Kitchen, where she taught children to cook simple and healthy meals.
She has appeared on Lorraine (2019-present), This Morning (2015), Loose Women (2000-24), and Sunday Brunch (2012-17). Alongside her husband John Torode, Lisa presents the weekend cooking show John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen (2019-present) for ITV, with their new show John and Lisa’s Food Trip Down Under due to air in 2024.
