Kirsty Gallacher – Broadcaster and Former Sky Sports News Presenter Kirsty is one of the UK’s most respected and versatile broadcasters.
She has enjoyed a successful 20-year career at Sky Sports, anchoring Sky SportsNews’ flagship show and interviewing several huge names, including Anthony Joshua, Jordan Spieth and David Beckham.
During her time with the show, Kirsty also fronted Sky Sports’ coverage of major annual sporting events including The Ryder Cup and The Masters.
She presently broadcasts on Smooth Radio.
Kirsty has great experience in a variety of broadcasting environments having had her own series for Sky One, ‘Kirsty’s Home Videos, which aired for 4 years.
In addition, she presented Sky One’s ‘Gladiators’ alongside Ian Wright, ITV’s ‘Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ and Channel 4’s ‘The Games’.2015 saw Kirsty take part in the hugely popular BBC One’s ‘Strictly ComeDancing’.
Kirsty continues to front ITV1’s hugely popular ‘Soccer Aid’ – the charity football match which pits celebrities against legendary footballers.
In March 2021 it was announced that Kirsty would be joining the newly launched channel, GB news, as part of their Breakfast team – ‘Journalism is my first love and I’m thrilled to be getting back into the heart of it at GB News, we’re really challenging the status quo with a fresh approach to news and debate’.
GB News is the first new British news network to launch in 24 years.
In July 2021 it was announced that Kirsty would join the Smooth Radio team to present a brand-new Saturday afternoon show as part of a refreshed weekend schedule for the station – ‘I’m so excited to be joining my favourite radio station, Smooth Radio. I’ve been a listener and a fan for a very long time and I can’t wait to kick start the weekend with a Saturday afternoon show that is good for the soul!’
Alongside her broadcast work, Kirsty has worked with several recognisable brands including Kinetica, Wellwomen, Hello Fresh, Speedo, Vauxhall and William Hill.
