Harpreet Kaur grew up in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, where her parents operated Waring Green Stores. Her parents, who ran their own businesses, provided early exposure to the realities of business ownership.
This family background would later influence her career path and business approach. While working full-time at Barclays Bank, she completed a degree through the Open University, balancing professional responsibilities with academic commitments.
In 2015, Harpreet co-founded Oh So Yum! with her sister, establishing dessert parlours in Leeds, Huddersfield, and Bradford. The brand offers a variety of sweet treats and caters to events such as weddings, baby showers, and product launches.

The dessert parlour gained local popularity and established a reputation for quality products and service. This experience in the food service industry provided her with practical knowledge about operations, customer service, and business management that would later prove invaluable during her time on The Apprentice.
In 2024, Harpreet decided to step away from Oh So Yum! to focus on other projects.
Harpreet has recently expanded her professional focus to include mentoring and coaching small businesses, drawing on her own entrepreneurial experience and success on The Apprentice. She offers practical, hands-on guidance to startups and growing enterprises, helping them navigate challenges in areas such as branding, scaling operations, and customer engagement.
Through workshops, one-to-one sessions, and online content, she supports founders in building resilient, sustainable businesses—often emphasising empowering women and underrepresented entrepreneurs in the early stages of their journeys.
Since winning The Apprentice, Harpreet has made a number of appearances in the media, including on the BBC Asian Network, Celebrity Mastermind, and This Morning. She featured in publications such as OK! Magazine, The Daily Mail, and The Guardian.
In April 2024, she became the host of The Everyday Hustle on BBC Asian Network, a show focusing on entrepreneurship, technology, and personal finance.

Harpreet is a passionate businesswoman who is available to speak at keynote events. She is an expert in performing under pressure and is a savvy businesswoman.
With a professional background in growing businesses, Harpreet has scaled her business in e-commerce, retail, and B2B Markets.
