HAL CRUTTENDEN COMEDY

Hal Cruttenden was nominated for the prestigious Perrier Newcomer Award back in 2002 and is a three-time Chortle Award nominee.

As well as performing here in the UK, he has toured the world extensively, performing at overseas events such as the Melbourne Comedy Festival, the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, and the New Zealand Comedy Festival. He has also toured countries including Belgium, Bermuda, Germany, India, Ireland, the Middle East, the Netherlands, and Norway.

His tours include ‘Chubster’ in 2020, ‘Straight Outta Cruttenden’ in 2015/16, ‘Tough Luvvie’, in 2013/14, ‘The Tiny Rage Tour’ in 2011, and ‘Lively’ in 2010. His last tour, ‘It’s Best You Hear it From Me’ started in 2022.

Hal is currently on a UK tour with his latest show, ‘Hal Cruttenden Can Dish It Out But Can’t Take It,’ which received multiple five-star reviews at Edinburgh Fringe and was long-listed by the ISH Comedy Awards

HAL CRUTTENDEN ACTING

Whilst best known for his comedy, Hal actually originally trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama as an actor. His acting credits include TV and Film roles in Unleaded (2014), The Omid Djalili Show (2007), Shackleton (2002), Bramwell (1998), Touching Evil (1998), Kavanagh QC (1998), Mrs Dalloway (1997), Eastenders (1996), and Out of the Blue (1996).

He has also appeared on stage, acting in the ‘Orwell a Celebration’ show at Trafalgar Studios, London and at the Edinburgh Festival.

Thanks to his high-profile status, Hal has become a popular guest on comedy, quiz, panel and news TV shows, including Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em: 50 Years of Laughs (2023), Good Morning Britain (2020), Richard Osman’s House of Games (2020), Celebrity Mastermind (2019), The Wright Stuff (2018), Pointless Celebrities (2014-22), Have I Got News For You (2013-17), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (2017), Mock the Week (2013-17, and The John Bishop Show (2015).
