Chris Griffiths puts his money where his mouth is; having set up his first company aged 18 – which he would go on to sell at 26 – his companies, including Ayoa, OpenGenius and Tec Marina, have ranked in the ‘European Deloitte Fast 50’ and the ‘Sunday Times/ London Stock Exchange Fasttrack 100’. These companies have produced four apps, each boasting over one million users.
Chris has presented keynote speeches and workshops to the likes of the European Commission, the State Bank of India, and His Majesty King Abdullah II. He has also contributed articles to major publications such as Director Magazine, Forbes, GQ, Minute Hack, and The Telegraph.
Together with the inventor of mind mapping, Tony Buzan, he created the ThinkBuzan Licensed Instructor Course in Mind Mapping, a global network of over 1,000 instructors, including those from Sony, the Ministry of Defence, and the NHS. He also developed the OpenGenius Licensed Instructor Course in Applied Innovation and Kick-Start Innovation away days to help people implement strategies to improve decision-making and minimise risks.
As well as working with The Inspire Genius Foundation, Chris donates his time to a number of not-for-profit initiatives aiming to drive innovation to change the world for the better.
As of 2023, Chris had written two bestselling books and contributed to one other.
In 2011, he published Grasp the Solution, a guide to help generate innovative ideas and ways to solve problems creatively. Then in 2019, he published The Creative Thinking Handbook: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Problem Solving in Business. This book aimed to help develop creative problem-solving skills to create better decision-making in business. The book was ranked the #1 business book by CEO Today, and ‘one of the best books to get your creative juices flowing’ by Forbes.
In 2014, he contributed to Tony Buzan’s book, Mind Maps for Business: Using the Ultimate Thinking Tool to Revolutionise How You Work. In the book, the two men shared the powerful techniques of mind mapping within business in order to help professionals revolutionise the way they think.

In 2017, Chris presented a TED talk entitled ‘Think Different’. In the talk, Chris drew on his own experiences to introduce a creative concept to overcome challenges. As of 2023, the talk had been viewed over 19,000 times.
