Whilst Ashley Roberts is a popular figure in the UK, she has only lived there for about 12 years, and was actually born and raised in Arizona. Her love for dance started aged three, and her singing aged eight.

She moved to LA in 2001 and appeared in music videos for artists such as Counting Crows, Josh Groban, and Pink. In 2003, she joined Nicole Scherzinger, Melody Thornton, Carmit Bachar, Kimberley Wyatt, and Jessica Sutta to form The Pussycat Dolls. The group achieved global success with their albums and singles reaching the number one spot across dozens of countries. Their best known singles include:

– Don’t Cha (2005)
– Stickwitu (2005)
– When I Grow Up (2008)

They also covered the song Jai Ho! for the 2008 movie Slumdog Millionaire. The band went their separate ways in 2010.

Her first TV appearance was in 2012 when she competed in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, finishing as a runner-up. She then became a judge for Dancing on Ice (2013-14), guest presented on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (2013-16), and hosted WWE Legends’ House (2014).

Since then, she has presented the NBC travel show 1st Look (2016-18), appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox (2020) and The Jump (2015), and hosted The Real Dirty Dancing UK (2022). In 2018, Ashley competed in Strictly Come Dancing, finishing as a runner-up in the final alongside professional dancer Pasha Kovalev.

In 2019, she moved from TV to radio, becoming the showbiz correspondent for Heart Breakfast. Since 2022 she has presented her own show for Heart’s spin-off network, Heart 00s. Her fellow Heart hosts include Amanda Holden, and fellow Great British Speaker Jamie Theakston.

OTHER WORK

Alongside her singing and media career, Ashley has dipped her toe in the world of entrepreneurship, launching her first line of lingerie designed for the beach in Australia. In 2016, she designed a women’s show collection called ALLYN, after her middle name.

With her celebrity status, it’s no surprise that Ashley has almost 2 million social media followers, a testament to her popularity across the globe. This prominent has seen her be a successful brand ambassador, working with companies such as Garnier.
