Scarlette Douglas fell into the world of presenting in 2011 when she was named runner up in the 2011 worldwide search for the ‘Next Big Name in Hosting’, and was crowned the winner of a nationwide competition with MTV and Freederm to be a ‘Presenter for a Week.
She caught the bug and, as they say, the rest is history.
She is now a popular events host, and with a passion for property development, Scarlette became one of the core presenters for Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun in 2015.
She has also hosted the The Jeremy Vine Show, as well as regularly reporting for BBC1’s The One Show.

Scarlette Douglas started her career in the entertainment business in the X-Factor West End Musical, I Can’t Sing, on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway tour, as well as on Stars in your Eyes on ITV. This transferred to roles in feature films, fashion modelling, show choreography and dancing for the likes of CeeLo Green and Paloma Faith.
She soon moved into the world of TV presenting, focussing particularly on property shows. In 2020, Scarlette presented her own primetime show, Holiday Secrets: Is Last Minute Best? (2020) for Channel 4. Then in 2021, her and her brother Stuart took over from Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer for presenting duties of Phil & Kirstie’s Love It or List It (2015-) for Channel 4’s Black to Front Day, the second most-watched programme of the day. The pair followed this up with property series Flipping Fast (2022-), alongside architect George Clarke, Worst House on the Street (2022) and My Dream Derelict Home in the Sun coming in 2023.
She has transferred her knowledge and charismatic personality to radio waves, broadcasting on Capital Xtra, BET and MTV Movies and guest hosting for Heart FM. She also had her own podcast in 2016, Motivation Mixtape, where she interviewed some of Team GB’s Olympians and Paralympians on their journey to the Rio de Janeiro games.
Her wide range of TV presenting, radio broadcasting, voiceover work here on Clelebrity Voices from Great British Voices, property knowledge and modelling make her an excellent choice for hosting live events. In 2016 she was chosen to be one of two hosts for Stylist magazine’s huge event ‘Stylist Live’, where she interviewed the likes of Cherry Healey, Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Helen Glover. She was then asked to be a key speaker at Cosmopolitan’s Self Made Summit two years later.
