Tim Willcox is one of the UK’s most popular TV presenters. During his two decades at the BBC, Tim reported on breaking stories including, the Athens bailout, the Alps plane crash, the Charlie Hebdo shootings and mass rally in Paris, the Arab Spring from Egypt and frontline in Libya, the crisis in Ukraine, the Chilean Miners where he spent a month in the Atacama Desert, the Japanese Tsunami, Iraq and the Euro crisis.
Tim is used to interviewing Prime Ministers and Presidents, leading international politicians, and opinion formers.
As a former ITN correspondent and presenter, Tim reported widely from the Middle East (Iraq, Israel and Jordan), and from Africa (including the Rwanda genocide). He has also presented live broadcasts from New York during 9/11, and covered the death of Diana. He was also ITV’s arts and media correspondent.
Outside of his news presenting, Tim was involved in a number of royal Channel 4 and 5 documentaries, including Paul Burrell – The Butler’s Story, Di’s Guys, The Spencers, After Diana – Remaking the Royals, and Diana: Her Life. Surprising to some, Tim has made acting camos in TV shows and movies such as Sex Traffic, State of Play, Jonathan Creek, 102 Dalmatians, The 33, and Clueless.
During his career, Tim has written for leading UK newspapers The Times, The Telegraph, The Mirror, Financial Times, and Spectator.
