His highlights also include being 6ft from a Mountain Gorilla in Uganda and experiencing weightlessness during an Astronaut training session in what was affectionately known as the Vomit Comet!

During his time on the show, he won a National Television Award.

Stuart has also worked behind the scenes and directed programmes whilst on Blue Peter.  Since his departure, he has also worked as a producer.

Following this, Stuart co-presented an ITV prime-time travel show, an ITV late-night dating show, reported for ‘This Morning’ and has presented food shows for UK Food, hosted game shows and fronted movie review shows for Sky TV.

Within the corporate world, he has presented specialist programmes, events and award ceremonies for the Careers Research Advisory Centre; the UK GRAD programme; Hefce; Phizer; and English Heritage as well as being in demand for voiceovers, including Sky Vegas and Disney.

His most recent experience includes for the last 7 years presenting the Breakfast show for Heart FM. He covered the counties of Herts, Beds, Bucks and Northants every weekday from 6.00am where he delivered large audiences for one of the station’s biggest regions.

He has also appeared nationally on Sky News Sunrise as a regular newspaper reviewer since 2012.
