Simon Evans

Simon Evans is a popular UK comedian known for his sharp wit and incisive humour. With a career spanning nearly three decades, he has built a loyal following through his TV and radio appearances, live tours, and festival performances.

He has an impressive range of TV credits, including two performances on BBC One’s Live at the Apollo and a memorable appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow. He also featured in an entire season of Channel 4’s Stand Up for the Week.

Evans is also a regular voice on The News Quiz and has made multiple appearances on various Radio 4 panel shows. From 1998 to 2002, he wrote and hosted the satirical news show The Way It Is, which ran for eight series.

On BBC Radio 4, Simon’s long-running show Simon Evans Goes to Market has become a fan favourite, making the seemingly dry subject of economics engaging and funny. The show’s clever mix of comedy and insight has seen it run for six seasons, regularly ranking among the most downloaded shows on the BBC Sounds app.

More recently, Simon co-created and appears on the Radio 4 panel show One Person Found This Helpful, hosted by Frank Skinner. This quirky game show delves into the often bizarre world of online reviews, delivering laughter with every episode. He’s also a familiar voice on The News Quiz, another Radio 4 favourite.

Simon is sought-after on the corporate and after dinner circuit and makes an excellent event or award ceremony host.
