Si Beales is an award-winning speaker, educator, academic, writer, and entrepreneur.
Si specialises in future skills, particularly in helping people boost their creativity and learn more creatively. Forbes Magazine described creativity as “the investment that never fails”. Creativity is fundamental in business; it’s the number one skill in over 10,000,000 job adverts.
There is growing evidence that connected future skills, such as collaboration, critical thinking, and curiosity are key to business success, particularly in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).
Si Beales has worked with thousands of businesses and individuals around the world to demystify the creative process, and show how creativity connects to future skills. Clients include Adidas, Boots, the Law Society, Levi’s, and Sky.
Si focusses on communicating simple, memorable habits that empower lifelong learning and ensure that his talks are always engaging, entertaining and impactful.
Si Beales regularly talks at key academic institutions and conferences, including Cambridge, Central Saint Martins & Nottingham Business School. And at conferences such as Innovate UK, Creative Conscience and The Digital Summit.
He has written for The Guardian, The Times, Vogue, and Psychologies magazine, and has been a regular contributor to the BBC. He is currently working on his book, How to Have Lots of Bad Ideas…and a Few Really Good Ones, available soon.
He is also the founder of education platform Future Skills Club, which won a Creative Catalyst award from Innovate UK in 2023 and now has courses being used in over 70 countries worldwide. He is also MD of Sidedoor Studio, a creative agency in Nottingham. On top of all of this, he was also a senior academic at the UK ‘University of the Year’ Nottingham Trent for over a decade.
Si’s mission is to reconnect people with their natural creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking; to show the importance of creativity in modern life, whether it’s problem solving, innovation, or personal expression. He loves to help people to learn smarter, deeper, happier. So, he focusses on developing lifelong habits and behaviour change. He is just as happy speaking, facilitating, delivering workshops or consulting. Si is an engaging, entertaining, transformative speaker on a mission to reconnect people with their creativity and celebrate the power of future skills.
