Sean Wallace is best known as the Dark Destroyer on the Chase TV series. He first appeared on Mastermind and has since appeared on a number of high profile TV shows such as Countdown, Catchphrase and The Weakest link.
Presently, a Barrister at Great James Street Chambers, he was called to the Bar in November 1984 and in 1986 completed pupilage. He has taken part in hearings held at both the Old Bailey as well as several magistrates’ courts located in England and Wales and also in Scotland. He is a member of the South Eastern Criminal Bar Association. Owing to his heritage, he has been a member of the Jamaican Bar since 1999.
Alongside his TV exploits, he is an active speaker, especially in the area of social enterprise and education aimed at inspiring young disadvantaged audiences to fulfil their dreams.

In 2004, Shaun Wallace became a champion of the long-running BBC quiz show Mastermind, which also tests a contestant’s aptitude on a subject of their choice. Shaun’s specialist subject in the final was FA Cup finals.
Shaun was a finalist on the first series of Are you an Egghead? Other shows that he has been a contestant on include Fifteen to One, The Weakest Link and Greed.
Since 2009, Shaun has appeared as a “Chaser” on the UK television series The Chase, a game show which airs on ITV.
His nickname on the show is “The Dark Destroyer”. He also appears on the celebrity editions of The Chase.
In 2018, Shaun featured as a guest Chaser on the Australian version of The Chase.
Shaun released his autobiography ‘Chasing the Dream’ late in 2018 and held a book launch hosted by Great James Street Chambers at The Old Bailey’s Grand Hall.
In 2019, Shaun appeared on the celebrity version of Catchphrase and as a guest in Dictionary Corner on the channel 4 gameshow Countdown.
Shaun devotes a lot of his time to social enterprise work speaking in schools, colleges and other institutions. He conducts debates at schools and colleges around the country. His aim is to inspire others and to share his experiences and successes.
Shaun spends most of his evenings dedicating his time to charity events, often hosting quiz nights and moots to raise money for many charities.
