Sam and Danni got their big mainstream radio break in December 2020, where they hosted Radio 1’s Life Hacks and The Official Chart: First Look, as part of the radio stations’ Christmas Takeover scheme.

They were so well received, the pair have gone on to present a wide range of shows across the BBC radio network, resulting in them being the most used cover presenters on Radio 1 throughout 2021. Alongside Life Hacks and The Official Chart…, you may have also heard them covering the Friday Early Breakfast slot, warming up for presenter Greg James, the Weekend Breakfast show, as well as for Radio 1 Dance.

Between the two of them, they have a growing online fanbase, with a combined following on both Instagram and Twitter of over 3,000, which is sure to grow as they’re heard more frequently on our airwaves.

Whilst their broadcasting career grows, Sam and Danni have been using skills gained from their extensive industry experience.

Danni is currently a teaching assistant at a special educational needs school in Wales and has previously worked for Xpress Radio in multiple roles including as their speech, entertainment and news coordinator, deputy station manager, radio producer and presenter, as well as news executive for Cardiff Union television.

Sam currently freelances for the BBC as a radio presenter and researcher and works as the social media coordinator for the international food sharing app, OLIO. Previously he has worked for 2ser Radio as a daytime producer and late-night presenter, for Nation Broadcasting as a content producer and cover presenter and for Xpress Radio in multiple roles such as their social media coordinator, music presenter, daytime content producer and deputy station manager.

Still relatively new to mainstream radio, Sam and Danni’s popularity and experience are growing at an impressive rate.
