Nick Lyth | Background

Prior to setting up Green Angel Syndicate, Nick was an established marketing and sales professional, working in service-related sectors.

Nick spent 15 years in London advertising agencies, working on a number of different major consumer brands as well as selling agency services to new clients. This was followed by a further 15 years in Scotland running his own sales and marketing consultancy.  

In the last fifteen years, he has applied his skills to a different set of challenges in the area of resource use, first in conceiving and developing an applied research institute called International Resources and Recycling Institute; and subsequently in establishing the Green Angel Syndicate. 

Nick has gained considerable experience in the following: 

• – developing EU grant-funded partnership projects, mainly in the Interreg programmes
• – charitable fund-raising; 
• – private equity fund-raising.  

Nick has served on charitable Boards for the Big Issue Scotland, and Dundee Cyrenians, as well as many commercial Boards ranging from sectors as varied as Denholm Ship Management and Drambuie Liqueur Company.
