He has appeared on BBC’s Match of the Day, Football Focus and Final Score, as well as Radio 5 Live, where he is one of the station’s longest-standing voices.

Mark Clemmit’s broadcasting journey started with his idea for a broadcast fanzine programme focusing on his local team Middlesbrough. He created and presented the first pilot of this called Red Balls on Fire in 1998 which aired on BBC Cleveland.
Nine month’s later and with a weekly budget of £50, Mark’s radio fanzine was nominated for a prestigious Sony Radio Award, with a nomination following the year later.

From here Mark Clemmit was noticed by BBC Radio 5 Live and he joined their team doing interviews and match reports, before going on to become a familiar and longstanding voice on the flagship Five Live Sport programme.
While Mark has worked on and covered Premier League matches, his passionate is for the lower leagues of football, where he enjoys the the intimacy and friendliness of smaller matches, as well as the ability to talk to managers and key players.
