Whilst initially studying business and modern language at the University of Durham, Marc Edwards was keeping an open interest in the world of media, and hosted his own show on the university radio station, Purple FM.
Initially working in London and Paris, Marc moved to China in 2007 to host China Central Television’s international-language channel CCTV News, where he hosted their flagship travel programme, Travelogue. Surprisingly, his bother Gareth Edwards also briefly hosted the travel programme.
His first feature with the station was a three-part series in conjunction with National Geographic’s Trends Traveler magazine, where he travelled by road along the Tea and Horse Trail, from Lijiang in Yunnan to Lhasa in Tibet. The show was an immediate success, and episode two won them the award for Best Documentary at the 2008 CCTV Awards.
He also hosted their Being Beijing series, and mini-series which aired throughout the 2008 Beijing Olympics, highlighting what people could do, see, and eat whilst in the city for the games. The following year, he hosted their first ever travel show in Taiwan, touring the island for three weeks, and was the first major programme filmed between the mainland and Taiwan. In 2010 he was chosen to host their Shanghai Shanghai series where he highlights all there was to do in the city while people were attending the World Expo.

After leaving China, he moved to international news channel France 24, and began presenting their technology show Tech 24, as well as presenting on Eurosport.
In 2013, he joined the London Live channel, before moving to BBC Sport in 2014 to present on Sport Today.
He is also a respected podcaster, hosting RugbyPass’ popular Offload podcast, which analysed the latest action from the rugby world and give insight into the game in a relaxed format.
Marc has a varied skillset, having worked with a plethora of world-renowned brands such as TV Sports Awards, Samsung, Play for Change, Laureus and broadcasters CCTV, BBC, Premier League, Sony ESPN, and Eurosport, ensuring your production is in good hands.
