Lisa Ventura MBE is a multi-award-winning cyber security consultant and expert with over 23 years experience.
She entered the industry in 2009 when she became Titania Ltd’s Chief Operations Officer and PR & Marketing Director. Since then, she has worked as a security or marketing consultant for the likes of BlueVoyant, Boost Technology Group, BT, Corinium Global Intelligence, CyBourn, Logistics UK, Pinsent Masons, Proficio Inc, Royal Life Saving Society UK, and the UK Cyber Security Council.
A TechWoman100 Award Winner, Lisa is one of the most well-known and respected experts in her field; Lisa Ventura is now an in-demand keynote speaker, consultant, and writer.
Lisa was awarded the MBE in the first Kings honours list for services to cyber security and inclusion and diversity by King Charles III in 2023.

As well as the technical side of cyber security, Lisa Ventura has a huge interest in the human aspects of it and founded the Cyber Security Unity in 2022. CSU is a global cyber security community that aims to “unite the cyber security industry worldwide to combat the growing cyber threat”.
Lisa has many fingers in many pies; as well as her cyber security work and speaking engagements, she is on the board of Think Digital Partners as their cyber security advisor, is a member of the Advisory Group for the International Cyber Expo, and is on the board for the West Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre.

The outbreak of the Russia/Ukraine war in February 2022 highlighted the risk of cyber threats in general warfare and heightened the concern about cloud security crime. This talk aims to provide an overview of cloud security threats and work out ways that the industry itself can help combat the growing threat.
