Laura Woods grew up in Dagenham and developed an early passion for sports and journalism. She pursued print journalism at Kingston University, laying the foundation for her future career in media. Her academic background equipped her with the skills necessary to navigate the competitive world of sports broadcasting.
Laura’s professional journey began in 2009 when she joined Sky Sports as a runner. Her dedication and talent quickly propelled her through the ranks, from editorial assistant to assistant producer, associate producer, and ultimately to a producer role.
She made her on-screen debut with behind-the-scenes interviews during Sky Sports’ darts coverage, gradually expanding her presence across various sports. Notably, she contributed to the Saturday morning kids’ show Game Changers and reported on the NFL, further enhancing her versatility.
Her significant break came in 2018 when she became a regular pitch-side reporter on Super Sunday, collaborating with renowned analysts like Gary Neville. Laura left Sky Sports in 2022, marking a new chapter in her career.
In July 2023, Laura joined TNT Sports (formerly BT Sport) as the lead presenter for their UEFA Champions League and boxing coverage. Simultaneously, she became ITV’s lead presenter for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, showcasing her adaptability and broad appeal.

For Adidas, she was involved in the launch event for the Adidas x Gucci collection in June 2022, celebrating the fusion of sportswear and high fashion. Additionally, Laura featured in a prominent Euro 2024 advertisement for Adidas, alongside figures like Jude Bellingham, Stormzy, and Ian Wright.
