Jo Malone CBE is a celebrated British perfumer and entrepreneur whose innovative approach to fragrance has left an enduring mark on the beauty and candle industry.

Jo worked as a florist in her early career and offered facials from her home. During this period, she began crafting scented products by hand in her kitchen. Her unique creations quickly gained popularity, leading to the establishment of her first brand, Jo Malone London, in 1990.

The brand became renowned for its distinctive fragrances and elegant packaging, epitomised by the iconic cream boxes with black edging. The brand’s reputation soared, culminating in the opening of its first store on Walton Street in London in 1994, followed by a flagship store on Sloane Street in 1999. That same year, Jo sold the company to Estée Lauder Companies, continuing to serve as its creative director until her departure in 2006.
