In 2007, Jimmy Garcia decided to embark on a Business and Economics back in the UK, returning to Palma every summer as a private chef on board the yacht. The experience gave Jimmy the chance to refine his skills and three years later, whilst holding down a brokering job in the city, he opened his first pop-up eatery The Southwest Supper Club. By 2012, Jimmy had returned to Courchevel to set up a ski chalet catering company which has since hosted many VIP clients.

Back in the UK, Jimmy’s ‘pop-ups’ were becoming more popular; The Wild Food Kitchen, The Secret Garden and The Lodge were all so successful on opening that they became permanent restaurants that are now open all year round.
As news of Jimmy’s unique dining experiences began to spread, he was commissioned to turn a disused warehouse into a working restaurant next to the Olympic Park and was asked to cook alongside Radio1 presenter Sara Cox on the Oxfam Grow campaign.

Over the last few years, Jimmy’s private catering business has escalated. He has catered for some of the biggest international corporations and agencies including Google, Sky, Emirates Airline, Virgin Media, Sony, Adidas and TFL.
His first appearance on television came in 2014, where cooked on London Lives Food Junkies breakfast television show. He also made appearances on This Morning and The Paul O’Grady Show.
In 2015, Jimmy Garcia released his first cookbook, Social Eats. The launch of the book was set against the backdrop of the Emirates Cable Car where guests attending the launch were invited to enter the cable car and dine on Jimmy’s specially tailored menu whilst taking in the breathtaking London skyline.
He has also written cookery articles for and/or featured in numerous newspapers and magazines. He was also asked by Grazia Magazine to be their guest food editor for their Christmas editions in November and December.
Jimmy’s philosophy when it comes to food is to show how simplicity and creativity can go hand in hand whilst not compromising on flavour or well-sourced ingredients.
