Craig Doyle is a much-loved Irish television presenter and sporting reporter.
He has appeared as a presenter on ITV’s daytime show This Morning (2008-2023), and as guest presenter on Good Morning Britain (2019) and Loose Women (2008-2023). He is also known for his work on sporting programmes, including NFL, rugby, and the Olympics.
A popular presenter, he is a trained broadcast journalist, starting his career as a staff reporter and producer for BBC Local Radio, before working up to become a news and sporting presenter for BBC Radio Suffolk.
Craig Doyle’s love of sport doesn’t stop with work; he is a dedicated triathlete, regularly competing to a high level. He is also a great lover of rugby and still plays when he can.
TV & RADIO
Craig’s career started in radio, first for his local radio station, and then on to BBC Radio 5 Live, Radio 4’s Midweek, and even hosted Capital Radio’s weekend morning show.
He worked across radio and TV for years, first appearing on ITV’s children’s show Disney Club in 1995. His sport reporting days started in 2013, when he became the lead rugby presenter for the newly launched BT Sport. Whilst here, he covered the Premiership and European Champions Cup, and presented a weekly magazine show. For four years, he also became the lead presenter for their MotoGP coverage. This passion for motorsport has seen him covering ITV’s Isle of Man TT for five years, and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
He joined ITV in 2008, replacing Jim Rosenthal as the host of the UEFA Champions League highlights. He has also covered the Athens Olympics, Six Nations Rugby, Grandstand, and Wimbledon for BBC Sport.
He has since presented numerous iconic TV shows including Tomorrow’s World (1996-98), Holiday: Fasten Your Seatbelt (1998), Holiday on a Shoestring (1999), The Craig Doyle Show (2004), and Lorraine (2010). Since 2021, Craig has appeared on This Morning as their competition presenter, and an interim guest presenter on the main show alongside Alison Hammond, Josie Gibson, Rochelle Humes, and Mollie King. He has appeared as a guest on A Question of Sport (2004), Daybreak (2011), and Richard Osman’s House of Games (2024), as well as playing for the 2006 Soccer Aid event.
As well as appearing on our television screens, Craig is the co-founder of 3 Rock Productions, and independent production company that has produced many successful documentaries, commercial campaigns, and live sports coverage.
CORPORATE
Craig Doyle is also an experienced and popular corporate event host, award presenter, and corporate ambassador.
In 2003 he presented the Irish Film and Television Awards, and then presented the ESAT Young Scientist Exhibition in Dublin in 2005. He has been the face of Littlewoods Ireland, and is a long-standing ambassador for double-glazing company Everest Windows.
