Actor, writer and stand-up comedian Cariad Lloyd, has guest-featured on some of British television’s best-loved comedy shows for over a decade.
Some of Cariad’s television credits include; Peep Show, Have I Got News For You, QI, Give Out Girls, Cardinal Burns, Siblings, Crackanory, Toast of London, Murder in Sucessville and Inside No.9. She also wrote and starred in her own sketch show, The Cariad Show, for BBC 3.
Cariad is also a frequent voice on BBC Radio 4, having featured on The Now Show, The Cariad Radio Show, Newsjack, The Guns of Adam Riches, Sisters, Small Scenes and the Sony award-winning, Here Be Dragons.
For her debut solo performance, Lady Cariad’s Characters, Cariad won the Best Newcomer Award at the Fosters Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Cariad performed her follow-up solo show, The Freewheelin’ Cariad Lloyd at the 2012 Edinburgh Festival to critical acclaim and in 2014, won the Three Weeks Editors Award for Fringe excellence.
Furthermore, Cariad is one of the creators of Austentatious: The Improvised Jane Austen Novel. The performance has sold out venues across the U.K and sold out four Edinburgh Festivals. In 2014, the piece won best sketch/improvisation act at the Chortle Awards for stand-up comedy.
When she is not performing, Cariad enjoys teaching improvisation workshops.
