Since graduating, Anita Jones has racked up an impressive career with some of the biggest media and communication companies. At first she worked for TRM Partners in Sponsorship Operations, then moved to Channel 4 to work as an HR Assistant. She then used her Spanish knowledge to work as a Digital Editor (Redactora Digital) at El Iberico, before moving to The Box Plus Network as a Production Runner, Big Deal Films Limited as a Researcher, and then a Presenter and Social Media Assistant for Pop Up Africa. It was whilst working for the latter that Anita begun to hone her interviewing skills, speaking to the Facebook Chief Product Officer Chris Cox; she also helped moderate panel discussions and managed their social media. Her final non-sport-related employment was as a Digital Influencer for Badoo, and a Researcher at Whisper Films Limited.
In 2018, Anita joined the BBC, working as a Trainee Sports Reporter as part of their Kick-Off Sports Reporter Scheme. She would continue to work for the BBC as a presenter, working on an Inside Out London piece regarding plastic cups in the night industry; she co-presented the Women’s Sport Show alongside fellow Great British Speaker Jeanette Kwakye, where she conducted live interviews with players and reporters, reported from sporting events such as Wimbledon, the London Marathon, and Epsom Downs Horseracing.
As well as the BBC, Anita has worked for AFTV and Arsenal F.C, interviewing fans, predicting scores, appearing on their weekly news show, and presenting the pre-match, half-time, and post-match show.
Anita currently works for Premier League Productions, live reporting on premier league games, co-presenting the show 20 In 20, analysing archived footage, and interviewing players in both English and Spanish.
Outside of sports, her talks covered topics such as endometriosis, women’s health, and the Black Lives Matter movement. Her public position gives her a platform to talk about her battle with these topics, giving her a chance to educate others and raise awareness. She is an ambassador and active campaigner for Endometriosis and has spoken in Parliament about Endometriosis.
She is passionate about being a positive representative and role model for women in male-dominated industries like Sport and the Media.
Along with her television work, sports reporting, and work on female health problems, Anita has hosted international beauty pageants Miss Supranational (2019 & 2022) and Mister Supranational (2022).
