Amanda Hamilton is a nutritional consultant, writer, and TV presenter. Known for work hosting Slim Chance: Fix My Family (2011-12), Should I Worry About…? (2006), How to Live Longer (2007), and The Last Resort (2009) for the BBC. She is also known for her work on the BBC’s Sunday morning food magazine show, Something For the Weekend (2006), which she co-presented with Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer. She was also the co-writer and presenter of GMTV’s diet campaigns Inch Loss Island, Bikini Diet, and Little Black Dress.
Known as one of the UK’s top five ‘super-nutritionists’ Amanda additionally co-produced and presented Spa of Weight Loss for Life, Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses (2005-11), and Teen Spa of Embarrassing Illnesses on UKTV. She was also the resident nutritionist for ITV’s This Morning (2012) and the Tonight show (2013).

As well as her work on television, Amanda Hamilton is an established writer, with several books published. First was LifeDetox in 2007, followed by Life-Changing Weight Loss the year after. In 2013, she published Eat, Fast, Slim, which has since been translated into languages including Korean and Czech. In 2017, Amanda co-wrote The G Plan Diet with fellow health writer Hannah Ebelthite. She also contributes to several magazines and newspapers where she provides health and nutritional advice.
Amanda has created an exclusive profile for herself in the wellbeing industry. She works directly with clients on nutritional programmes, including Nourish Clients, Nourish Holidays, and Champneys Spa UK and in the South of Spain. She also works with corporate groups and businesses to provide practical and accessible ways for individuals to enhance their wellbeing.
A member of the Guild of Health Writers and a senior associate of the Royal Society of Medicine, Amanda continue to further her nutritional education, studying a Post-Grad in Obesity Science at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.
