Our corporate events calendar is also here to provide you with inspiration on ways you can help motivate your audience and/or employees this year.

Some of the biggest events on the Awareness Days calendar include International Women’s Day (March 8th) and  Black History Month  (October) – both of which have become pivotal events for raising awareness of equality, inclusion and diversity concerns within society, and within the workplace more specifically.

Health & Wellness Awareness Days Speakers

We also focus on the importance of Mental Health, with World Mental Health Day (10th October) and Mental Health Awareness Week (15th-21st May), as well as International Men’s Day (November 19th), which is a powerful reminder for men to take care of their own health and mental wellbeing.

Find the latest Awareness Days Speakers

We know, however, that there are many more important awareness days than those we’ve listed, and will continue to update our events calendar as often as possible to provide you with the latest events news and best topical speakers on the circuit. Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Speakers

Why recognise Prostate Cancer Awareness Month?

Every March, people come together to help support and raise awareness for those with prostate cancer.  Like living with any form of cancer, being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer is difficult, but Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, which is organised by Prostate Cancer UK, aims to raise awareness amongst men of the most of common signs and symptoms to look out for, so hopefully, with an early diagnosis more people can be cured.

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Facts!

Did you know that in the UK, about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer at some point in their lives?

Prostate cancer can develop when cells in the prostate start to grow in an uncontrolled way. Prostate cancer often grows slowly to start with and may never cause any problems. But if this spreads, then this is likely to cause severe issues and needs treatment – fast.

As of 2022;

  • Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men.
  • More than 52,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year on average – that’s 143 men every day.
  • Every 45 minutes one man dies from prostate cancer – that’s more than 12,000 men every year.
  • 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
  • Around 475,000 men are living with and after prostate cancer.

Featured Speaker – Clive Branson | One of our Prostate Cancer Awareness Month Speakers

The last few years have been an astonishing period for Clive Branson, who’s no stranger to the isolation mental and physical health can bring.

Having been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2017 and Prostate Cancer a year later, Clive has battled more than most. And although the last five years have been rather eventful for Clive and his family, his own philosophy now is a simple one – to not allow daily challenges to define him.  Today, Clive’s mission is to actively demonstrate that we do have the ability to overcome adversity. Resilience, Hope and Positivity are crucial words in his vocabulary, and the next chapter of his life will be met with stoicism and a smile.  Clive is the epitome of an ‘inspirational speaker.’
