Julie’s career in the media has spanned over 40 years. With a long list of television credits and a distinctive voice, she has appeared on some of Britain’s most iconic television shows and produced over 100 commercials.
As an actress, Julie has performed in the West End, spending five years with The Royal Shakespeare Company (in Stratford and London) before returning to her hometown of Grimsby to star in panto.

On television, she has featured in Casualty, Taggart, Holby City, The Survivors, The Bill, Luv, First Born, Chains of Love, Doctors and September Song. However, she is probably best known playing Fran in Brookside, Jo in Emmerdale and the outrageous Jacqui in Hollyoaks.
As a presenter, Julie brought her warmth and humour to The Alan Titchmarsh Show as their resident relationships expert and has worked extensively for the Travel Channel as the host of Cruise Today.
She has been a guest presenter on Loose Women (ITV) and The Wright Stuff (Channel 5) and regularly reviewed the papers on The Steve Allen Show for LBC.
Other presenting credits include This Morning, Turf Wars and Bootsale Challenge.
She also presented, wrote and directed A Buyer’s Guide to Spain and co-produced and presented Crafty Beggers on Discovery TLC.
Julie has been a recipient of the Royal Television Society’s ‘Television Personality of the Year Award.’
Away from the camera, Julie regularly contributes travel and lifestyle articles to The Mail on Sunday, The Daily Telegraph, Femail and Best magazine. She also writes frequent columns for The Sunday Mirror, Now magazine and your magazine and provides a double-page spread of crafts in Simply Homemade. Julie co-writes a travel column for Magnet magazine with her husband, fellow actor, Patrick Pearson and is also Contributing Editor for Cruise International magazine.
In business, Julie is the product creator of the brand, Swoon, which is sold in Boots stores and on amazon.com.
Julie gives talks on a range of subjects – from a memory makeover to collecting teddy bears – and she is an outstanding host for corporate events and award ceremonies.
