Hire a ‘One Voice’ Award-Winning Voiceover Artist

The One Voice Conference is one of the biggest events in the British VO calendar, as a place for voiceover artists to increase their skillset, listen to talks from top industry professionals, casting directors and agents, and they get to network with other artists too! But the really exciting part is the awards evening. Since the event first began 5years ago, our professional voiceover artists have picked up quite a few highly sought-after One Voice Awards and Nominations, and this year is no expectation – with our Great British Voices having 71 nominations between them! Here are just a few of this year’s nominated talents…

Ian R.

Ian is a 3-time ‘One Voice Award’ Winner with an additional 11 nominations for ‘One Voice’ and
‘SOVAS’ Awards, he’s clearly a voice in demand! This year Ian’s received another 3 nominations – ‘Best Demo Reel’, ‘Best Documentary’ and ‘Best e-Learning.’ Here’s a clip from his e-Learning nominated piece for the Holbein Exhibition, Bath.

Paul D

Paul trained as a voice actor for animations in Los Angeles with Everett Oliver ( The Simpsons ) and at the home studio of the voice legend Dave Fennoy ( The Walking Dead ). He has since been cast as some of the lead characters in games for Xbox, Nintendo, Switch, and PlayStation. So it’s no surprise to us that Paul’s been nominated in the ‘Best Performance in an Animation’ category for his latest role, playing Thunderwind and Stormstrike in Akedo Ultimate Arcade Warriors.

Diane.

Diane is a professional voiceover artist with a light central Scottish accent, which is considered to be fairly neutral. She’s been nominated in the ”Best Female Performance for Audio Drama” category for her part as Mrs Hunter in The Strathaven Weaver produced by John Boyd.

Lucy E.

A popular choice with our corporate clients, Lucy is also a familiar voice on the awards scene as a Live announcer/ ‘Voice of God’ artist, and this year she’s been nominated in the ‘Outstanding Live Announcer’ category. Her clients include the BBC, Channel 5, Unilever, Transform Cosmetic, The Hospital Group and NHS.

Tim.

Having previously been nominated for a One Voice Award, in the ‘TV commercial’ and ‘Voice Of God’ categories, this year Tim’s hoping for the star prize, having been nominated for Male Voiceover of the Year’. Here’s a small snippet of a corporate video he voiced for Microsoft Technology which earned him the nomination.

Lizzie.

Lizzie has a distinctive tone with a confident cool style. Born and raised on the Thames Estuary, Lizzie’s neutral London accent is effortlessly adapted from Urban to RP depending on your voiceover needs. This year Lizzie’s been nominated in the ‘Best Female Voice in a TV/Web Commercial’ category for her voiceover here for Yamaha.

David V.

David’s been nominated for three awards at this year’s event – all of which you can listen to below. You may even recognise David’s voice, as a professional voiceover artist and TV presenter with nearly three decades of experience, he has voiced across many channels including the BBC, Classic FM and Granada Television.

Will M.

Will is a classically trained voice actor whose love for games and animation drew him into the world of Voiceover. Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, Will has voiced a variety of corporate explainers, eLearning courses, several audiobooks and multiple characters across various games and animations. This year Will has been nominated in the ‘Best Character Performance‘ (Male) category for his role of Zhuque in the Studio Tumble Film “A Bedtime Tale”

And the Winners Are…

Ramesh won ‘Best International Voiceover Performance’ his performance perfectly here in Channel 4’s 2021 Christmas adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s The Abominable Snow Baby

Thanks to his international roots, Ramesh can voice in many accents convincingly – UK RP, European (French & Spanish) MidAtlantic and Indian.  Plus, he’s pretty skilled at improvisation and theatre work, which helped enhanced his performance perfectly for this award-winning role.
