Wendy Turner is a television presenter, author, and award-winning campaigner for animal welfare. In her 50’s, she brings more than three decades of diverse media experience and unwavering compassion to her work. Currently, she is producing and starring in a new Amazon documentary in collaboration with Animal Aid, set to air in summer 2026. The film tackles the crucial issue of animal testing through an insightful and thought-provoking lens.
Wendy began her media career in local radio, where she wrote and presented features on film, travel, and books. Her move to television started at Live TV, where she reported on sports and fashion before hosting her own shows, Videobox and Revelations with Nina.

Her genuine passion for animal welfare led her to Channel 4’s prime-time investigative series Absolutely Animals, filmed around the world and often regarded as the forerunner to Pet Rescue, which she fronted for seven successful years.
Wendy’s other on-screen work includes the BBC1 Saturday night show Your Kids Are In Charge, co-presented with her sister Anthea Turner, the Nickelodeon series You Do Too, and Crafty Beggars for TLC and Together TV. She also hosted Brits Rescue Romanian Dogs for Together TV and My5. Beyond entertainment, she participated in the BBC documentary Hitting Home about domestic violence and produced Taking Lives, a documentary for the charity Refuge.

A passionate writer, Wendy has authored several children’s books and contributed to popular magazines such as OK! and Woman’s Own. She is currently developing a near-complete horror film script and, with sister Anthea, co-writing the fourth installment of their Underneath the Underground series—charming tales about mice living on the London Underground.
A committed vegan for 30 years, Wendy supports numerous charities as a patron.
She lives in West London.
