Tunde Agoro is a respected ESG and Sustainability leader and champion, having held strategic and technical leadership positions at various engineering design consultancies such as AECOM, Hoare Lea, and Hydrock.
In his most recent role at RPS Group, he led the award-winning global ESG and Corporate Sustainability Advisory team, working with business leaders across various sectors.
A project manager and Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) with 20 years of hands-on experience, Tunde has a thorough grasp and understanding of sustainability in the building and construction industry.
He has a varied skill set evidenced by his background in architecture, finance, real-estate economics, environmental design and management, environmental engineering, sustainable development, and project management.
He is also a BREEAM Accredited Professional, Fitwel Ambassador, and one of the first qualified WELL Building Standard® Accredited Professionals in the UK.
Tunde Agoro is a chartered environmentalist and sustainability advocate with an incurable passion for people, our planet, and collaborative possibilities.
He holds a degree in Environmental Design and Management from the Obafemi Awolowo University, and a Masters in Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Development from Imperial College London. He also gained a qualification in Real Estate Economics and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He has worked as a sustainability consultant for the likes of Hoare Lea LLP and AECOM, and an architect at Cityscape International. In 2021 he became the associate director and head of ESG for Hydrock, then in 2023 he became the technical director in ESG and sustainable business for the RPS Group, and he is currently a technical director at RPS.
He is also currently the managing partner for Europe at McKinsey and Company, leading them across 23 countries. He works with a range of institutions to help them drive performance and transform them for the future, focussing on technology. His work has seen him cover the UK and USA, UAE, Malaysia, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
His expertise has seen him appear on a wide range of industry podcasts, including The Trowers, Thrive in Construction The Building Sustainability Podcast, and the ESG Podcast with Wana Learning.

As a trusted advisor and Director of ESG and Sustainable Business, Tunde leads and supports clients in the delivery of sustainability policies, strategies, and aspirations at organisational and project levels. He collaborates with clients as an embedded partner to help realise long-term value and create socially and economically responsible portfolios, as well as deliver decarbonisation roadmaps, net zero carbon, strategies, and energy transition programmes.
Speaker, Lecturer, and Event Facilitator
Tunde is a highly sought-after public speaker and visiting lecturer with a unique and inspiring communication style that will engage any audience. He teaches various sustainability-related courses at the top three universities in the southwest – University of Cardiff, the University of the West of England, and the University of Bath.
Thought Leadership, ESG, and Sustainability Advocacy
Tunde is considered to be a thought-leader on environmental and sustainability benchmarking and assessment, corporate responsibility policy and strategy, ESO engagement, circular economy, social value, and health and wellbeing. He is a member of the Impact Evaluation Standard Steering Group and Committee which help play a part in championing the most robust and realistic framework for assessing social value. He was also a member of panels led by the Building Research Establishment, and UK Green Building Council.
Community Service, Engagement, and Development
Tunde serves as a Director and Member of the Board of Trustees for the St Werburgh’s Community Centre, a position he has held since 2017. He is also a voluntary police officer, a role driven by his strong desire to see cohesive and inclusive community where everyone can thrive safely. He is also one of six Co-opted school governors of a local primary school in Bristol.
