With an online following of over 1.2 million, Sindhu Vee’s fanbase travels around the world, from her home country of India, to the invitation-only Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Canada.

This is very different to her former career in investment banking. Born in New Delhi, India, Sindhu moved around a lot, living in Lucknow and the Philippines, and studying at the Universities of Delhi, Oxford, Chicago, and McGill. But after falling out of love with banking, Sindhu dipped her toe in stand-up and hasn’t looked back since.
She is the recipient of the 2017 Eastern Eye Arts, Culture & Theatre Award, and has been nominated for the 2016 BBC New Comedy Award, 2017 New Act of the Year, and Leicester New Comedian of the Year, and the 2018 Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer.
Her popularity has seen her become a familiar face on our television screens, appearing as a guest on Live at the Apollo (2018-2019) – including being the host of one episode, Mock the Week, QI (2018-2022), Have I Got News For You (2018), Would I Lie To You (2021), The Last Leg (2020), Richard Osman’s House of Games (2021), Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel (2022), Pointless Comedians (2021), and Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig (2021).
She is also a friendly voice on our radio waves, appearing on Radio 4’s The Unbelievable Truth, The News Quiz, Loose Ends, Word of Mouth, You’re Dead to Me, Start the Week, and The Museum of Curiosity.
In 2018, she wrote and hosted the Radio 4 programme Sundhustan, which looked at her unique background and family life. In 2020, she presented Things My Mother Never Told Me About Lockdown, where celebrity guests, including fellow comedians Tom Allen and Jayde Adams, discussed their relationships with their mothers. She also co-hosts the Child Labour parenting podcast with Stuart Goldsmith and frequently contributes to The Guilty Feminist podcast.
With a wealth of experience, a plethora of hilarious anecdotes, and a self-deprecating, natural persona, Sindhu Vee is the perfect corporate event host.

Sindhu Vee was lovely to work with and went down very well with the audience. Her anecdotes were relevant and spot on, and some great adlibs during the scripted part of the awards.
Sian Jones, Bett Awards
We had such great feedback from having Sindhu perform virtually, that we asked her to come back in person! She really connected with the audience and took the time to make hilarious and relevant links between her client and her set. Our audience absolutely adored her, both times!
Stephanie Hip, McGill University
Sindhu was tremendous, read the audience and the tone perfectly and was really funny, insightful and hugely entertaining. She already had many fans in the room and certainly gained many more.
Matt Brittin, President of EMEA Business and Operations for Google
Sindhu was superb! Not only was she probably the nicest-ever host to deal with, but she researched the market more than any host in the last 10 years, tailored her performance and was refreshingly funny. She controlled the audience well during the awards presentation and appeared to really care about each and every award. So I cannot recommend her enough to host other awards!
Calum Taylor, Build it Awards
A delight. She kept the vibe going throughout the awards. We would definitely recommend her.
