Shaun’s career began shortly after graduating from Kingston University with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. His reputation for creating eccentric, colourful and unique interiors and brand experiences catapulted him into the mainstream in the early nineties; his eye for spotting upcoming trends cementing him as the go-to style-guru for many nightclub owners, festival producers, hoteliers and restaurateurs.
With an enviable client list that includes Chivas, Absolut, Perrier Jouet, Harvey Nichols, Clink Hostels, Oliver Peyton and Vince Power, to name just a few, he has become one of the most sought-after design experts both at home and internationally. He is a regular speaker at leading design events such as 100% Design, London Design Festival, Retail Week, Clerkenwell Design Week and the May Design Series, as well as featuring as a guest on television news and breakfast programs.
He has also been responsible for a number of high-end bespoke residential projects, corporate offices and rebranding exercises, with his work, regularly featuring in Vogue, Elle Decor, Home & Garden, Living Etc., Harpers, Tatler, The Sunday Times & The Guardian amongst others.
His own portfolio of properties in London, Hastings, Norfolk and Southern Ireland are filled with works from his personal collection and furniture from his very own homeware emporium, cafe and art gallery, Pitfield London, where he has hosted exhibitions by artists and designers that include Jade Jagger, Natalie Gibson MBE, Fiona Paxton, James Brown and many others.
Pitfield Design is the latest addition – a bespoke, professional interior design consultancy service that aims to bring affordable interior design to the high street.
Shaun is driven by an unstoppable passion for shopping, which comes in handy when searching out trend-setting pieces for his clients – travelling the world to bring back the most unique and attention-grabbing items that continue to give his work their undeniable wow-factor.
