Rob chaired our hustings with the rare combination of deep preparation and a genuine sense of humour, striking exactly the right mix of light and shade to keep the room engaged. He put panellists and audience at ease from the outset, while still giving the discussion real shape and pace – never letting it drift or get lost in the detail. In a complex policy area, he consistently steered the conversation back to what matters most to people: energy security, the cost of living, and household bills.
