Rob Green grew up in Chertsey, Surrey and joined Norwich City as a junior at age 12. He made his senior club debut in 1999 for the Canaries.
At Norwich City, he made over 240 appearances in all competitions and was honoured in the PFA Team of the Year when the club won the First Division title in 2003–04.
Moving to West Ham United in 2006, Rob featured prominently, earning Player of the Year in 2008 and playing a key role in the club’s play-off victory and promotion to the Premier League in 2012.
In 2012, he signed for Queens Park Rangers (QPR), where he once again achieved promotion via the play-offs in 2014.
Later spells at Leeds United followed in 2016-17, before moves to Huddersfield Town and Chelsea as a third-choice keeper, the latter yielding a UEFA Europa League winners’ medal in 2019, an unexpected and celebrated high point to conclude his career.
On the international front, Rob earned 12 caps for England between 2005 and 2012, featuring in their squad at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2012

In 2006, Rob Green was signed to West Ham United, being named man of the match once again in 2008 before he moved to Queens Park Rangers in 2012. Whilst he didn’t play much to begin with at QPR, he was part of the team that won the 2014 Championship play-off final against Derby County. He left the club in 2015 and moved to Leeds United in 2016.
The next few years saw him play for Huddersfield Town and Chelsea, and during his time in the Premier League, Rob appeared in net over 250 times and won several club titles. Rob Green made his first England appearance in 2004 for a friendly against Sweden, and he went on to play in FIFA World Cups and UEFA Euro tournaments, before retiring from professional football in 2019.

Since retiring, Rob has seamlessly transitioned into a distinguished broadcasting role as a lead co-commentator for CBS Sports’ coverage of the UEFA Champions League in the United States. Partnering with veteran commentator Clive Tyldesley, he brings a measured and insightful perspective shaped by his years between the posts—offering viewers clarity, empathy, and a unique focus on the human side of the game.
His style has been praised for avoiding sensationalism and instead emphasising the challenges and emotions players experience on the pitch, helping establish CBS’s Champions League coverage as widely respected among American soccer audiences.
He has also appeared as a pundit and co-commentator for BBC Radio 5 Live, Sky Sports, and on Channel 4.
Off the pitch, Rob notably climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in summer 2008 to raise funds for AMREF, a Kenyan-based non-governmental organisation focused on providing community and environmental healthcare to countries in Africa.  He has also pursued academic interests, studying for a BA (Hons) in Business Management with the Open University, preparing for life after football.
In 2019, he started selling art, particulary to fellow footballers. Rob long had a love and passion for art and selling art was a logical progression.
