He has performed acclaimed solo shows across the UK and has become a fixture at major festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe, Latitude, Green Man, Camp Bestival, and the Underbelly Festival. On stage, he builds layered vocal and guitar soundscapes, weaving his comedy, storytelling, and music into a show that feels technically impressive and effortlessly warm.
Rob has hosted The Comedy Club on BBC Radio 4 Extra and is a regular contributor to Steve Lamacq’s Roundtable on BBC Radio 6 Music. He is also a familiar face on our TV screens, appearing on Comedy Rocks With Jason Manford, Pointless Celebrities, and Celebrity Total Wipeout. He is also the only person to have ever won a comedian’s edition of The Weakest Link without getting a single question wrong.
A quiz addict, Rob hosts his own music quiz and film quiz. His music quit Beat This combines his comedy and hosting skills with his musical talent to play a huge range of songs to test the contestants’ knowledge. His film Quiz, Film This, is based on Trivial Pursuit that features slices of real cake.
His 2021 book Running Tracks charts how music and marathon running became a life-changing obsession for him. His running exploits, including over 20 marathons and more than £150,000 raised for Parkinson’s UK, feed directly into his material.
