Rachel Riley first appeared as on Channel 4’s Countdown in 2009, taking over as the numbers expert from Carol Vorderman. In 2012, she began co-presenting their comedy spin of show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown with Jimmy Carr. She also presents Friday Night Football and Fantasy Football Club on Sky Sports.
Some of Rachel’s other television appearances include, It’s Not Rocket Science, (ITV) Room 101, Britain’s Brightest, Top Gear and Would I Lie to You (BBC).
She has also put her own intellect to the test, appearing on a number of quiz shows- celebrity specials, including Celebrity Mastermind, (BBC1) Pointless Celebrities (BBC1) Million Pound Drop (Channel 4) and The Chase (ITV).
In 2013, she appeared in the 11th series of Strictly Come Dancing and has interviewed A-lists celebrities such as Eddie Redmayne and Tom Hiddleston, live from the BAFTA red carpet (2015).
Rachel is an avid football fan and in 2015, Rachel combined her mathematical expertise with her passion for football by hosting a segment for Football Focus (BBC1).
She has also been a guest speaker on Soccer AM (Sky Sports), BBC Radio 5 Live’s Fighting Talk, talkSport radio and BT Sport’s, Follow the Football. She has also hosted alongside Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand and presented an exclusive live studio interview with Andy Cole.
Off camera, Rachel makes frequent school visits and has been involved in a number of national numeracy initiatives to help promote math and science to children.
Rachel’s professionalism, intellect and versatility make her ideal for a variety of corporate events, from hosting award ceremonies to fronting PR campaigns, some of her most noticeable being Breeze Women’s Cycling, NatWest, Mind Sports International, N Power, Lenovo, National Lottery and the Post Office and was the face of Oral B in their ‘Smart Toothpaste’ advertisement in 2014.
