Before she was a sports presenter, Wales-born Polly James competed in athletics for Wales and GB Juniors at an underage level.

Polly’s professional career started at community radio stations like Afan FM and Bridge FM. After working for Nation Radio Wales, she was picked up for national stations, including Absolute Radio and Capital.
During Capital’s restructuring in 2019, her show was cancelled and she moved to Radio X – a move that saw her nominated for Breakfast Show of the Year.
