Each episode explores real-life scam stories from investment fraud to romance scams, with interviews with victims, experts, and even former scammers. With his signature blend of empathy, journalistic rigour, and clear-eyed analysis, Nick breaks down how these scams work, why people fall for them, and what listeners can do to protect themselves.
The podcast has been praised for its storytelling and real-world relevance, a vital resource in the age of increasing online threats.
His debut book, How to Beat Scammers, is a practical, eye-opening guide to navigating the modern landscape of fraud. Drawing on years of investigative experience and firsthand accounts from victims, cybersecurity experts, and even reformed scammers, the book exposes the inner workings of over 50 common scams – from phishing emails and fake job offers to deepfake videos and sophisticated investment fraud.
With clarity, compassion, and a touch of urgency, Nick explains not just how these scams succeed, but how readers can recognise the warning signs and protect themselves and their loved ones. Accessible, empowering, and often chilling, How to Beat Scammers has been hailed as an essential read in an increasingly connected and vulnerable digital world.

Nick’s keynote talks blend shocking real-world case studies with practical tools and insights, making his sessions as educational as they are memorable.
