Ngozi Onwuchekwa is a writer, keynote speaker, award-winning digital marketer, former Mrs Exceptional Lady Universe, and cancer survivor. In 2024, she gave her first TEDx Talk in Cambridge, titled âHow to Overcome Fear and Thriveâ, a video which has been viewed over 2,500 times in four months.
Diagnosed with the rare cancer Rhabdomyosarcoma during the pandemic, Ngozi Onwuchekwa underwent 12 months of of chemotherapy and surgeries, including a hysterectomy, but can now declare herself in remission. It was this diagnosis and subsequent treatments that spurred a completely new lease of life.
In 2023 she represented the United Kingdom and won the Mrs Exceptional Lady Universe at the Mrs Universe pageant in Miam; this triumph gave her a new found self-confidence, and she now works to help others understand the early signs of the disease, and how to stand up for yourself within the healthcare system.
Since her diagnosis, she has begun fundraising for cancer charities, is training for the New Forest 2025 Half Marathon and the Goodwood 2025 Half marathon and was even invited to Downing Street as recognition of her fundraising efforts.
Ngozi Onwuchekwaâs education shows an interest in marketing, media and events, with a diploma in event management and public relations, a post-grad in broadcast television, mass communication, and media, a bachelor’s degree in media and political science, and even a master’s in business administration for digital marketing.
She has built on this marketing experience and now has a (combined total) online presence of over 70,000 followers, where she collaborates with companies that champion diversity, health and wellness, cancer research, womenâs empowerment, and affordable fashion.

Ngozi has worked for a number of companies around the UK and Asia, including Harryâs Singapore as a senior business development manager; YuuZoo as a project development manager; Tadcaster Hospitality as their marketing director in Singapore and the Philippines; the Entertainer as a marketing specialist in Singapore and Malaysia; and is a freelance writer for LinkedIn in marketing and communications.
She is an MBA-certified digital marketer, and in 2017, Ngozi founded Axis Digital Marketing Limited, which provides innovative and comprehensive digital marketing solutions for a diverse range of industries.

Ngozi is now an advocate and fundraising partner of Sarcoma UK. Since experiencing her own diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma, she has become a passionate voice spreading awareness to help other patients, not only about the physicality of the illness, but also the effect it can have on mental health.
Five years since diagnosis and treatment, Ngozi is now in remission, emerging not just as a survivor but as a beacon of hope for others facing health challenges.
Ngozi is now regularly seen sharing her experiences on television, radio and in publications, including on BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Sussex, Ashdown Radio, The Daily Express, Fabulous magazine, Chat, Female Health & Fertility, Medical News Today, and the Oncology Times.
She has written many thought-provoking pieces for publications, where she shares her personal opinions on cancer-related issues, such as diagnosis, treatment, and remission, as well as offering advice on hair and beauty concerns. Her writing has been featured in WellBeing Magazine, Rare, Violet Simon, and Yomu.
Ngoziâs message is one of hope, determination, and the power of the human spirit. She is now a popular keynote speaker, providing practical insights and engaging stories to motivate individuals to embrace positivity, find inner strength, and take charge of their destinies.
