Mandy Saligari is the host of the popular Channel 5 programme, Celebrities in Therapy. On the show, Mandy has interviewed the likes of Danniella Westbrook, Kerry Katona, Calum Best and Coleen Nolan. She explores every aspect of the celebrity’s past, from childhood to love affairs. She also assesses how their current celebrity status could be affecting their mental wellbeing.
She is also a regular contributor to the ITV breakfast show, This Morning where she plays agony aunt, giving advice to viewer’s questions on a range of issues from marriage troubles to parenting dilemmas.
She has also fronted a series of documentaries for Channel 5; Violent Child Desperate Parents where Mandy seeks to understand the behaviour of some of the country’s most violent and difficult children. Mandy aims to solve the child’s behaviour through helping to re-build family relationships, thereby not just focusing on the behaviour of the child but the whole family dynamic. Away from television, Mandy is the founder and clinical director of Charter, one of London’s leading outpatient clinics specialising in private addiction treatment. Having recovered from addiction herself, Mandy understands first-hand the difficulties of overcoming addiction. She now runs group workshops and hosts interventions and lectures on the subject in an attempt to help others also overcome their addictions. Mandy is also passionate about dispelling the social stigma attached to mental health and holds regular talks at schools on early intervention, addiction, emotional coping-mechanisms and self-esteem.
