More About Lissie Mackintosh

Lissie Mackintosh has been one of F1’s lead presenters in the paddock since 2022, conducting interviews with racing stars such as Jenson Button, Lando Norris, Daniel Riccardo, and Charles Leclerc, as well as celebrities including The Jonas Brothers.

She is now a regular presenter, events host, and content creator, working with F1 teams, partners, and manufacturers.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that Lissie has always been involved in F1, but her journey didn’t start till 2021, when she posted a TikTok video that amassed thousands of views overnight. Realising that no-one was talking about the sport on social media, she decided to have a go herself, and created a fun and engaging video which gained 70,000 views in just a matter of hours.

Whilst she still posts on social media – to a following of over 812,000 – she now covers race events for the world series, such as the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship in Mexico City.

Lissie is particularly passionate about getting women involved in sport, especially in Formula 1 which is still a heavily male-dominated industry.

“There are so many young women who look up to me to fill a role. I want to make sure that I’m doing them proud.”

She aligns with the platform ‘Females in Motorsport’ who shine the light on women in the industry; which is even more important given that the female viewership of F1 is growing.

“You look at the viewing figures for F1, it’s in the millions, with more women than ever before. Some of the best strategists in the sport are women, marketing departments wouldn’t run without women. I saw Lewis Hamilton talk about this the other day, that if you sit down and watch the race, all you see are 20 male drivers on the grid and male team principals.”

Since 2022, she has hosted the Going Purple podcast, engaging directly with listeners on various aspects of Formula 1 and motorsport. Guests have included Oscar Piastri, Nyck De Vries, Jamie Chadwick, Natalie Pinkham, Lando Norris, and Jess Hawkins.
