Kay Crewdson has spent 17 years working in television and radio, retraining as a broadcast meteorologist she has spent 10 years forecasting the weather for BBC’s in the north of the UK as well as hosting BBC Radio York’s breakfast show.
On leaving the BBC Kay produced and presented a documentary called “The Emptiness Within” with her close friend Steve.
Their aim? To get the conversation about miscarriage started. To force people to listen to the harsh reality of losing a baby and to educate those who have no idea how to act when a loved one experiences such loss.
The documentary, named after the feeling Kay had when she was told there was no heartbeat, contains honest, frank and graphic descriptions of what it’s like to go through a miscarriage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0687ybm
