Jonathan Edwards CBE

Jonathan Edwards CBE is widely regarded as one of the greatest triple jumpers in athletics history. He is celebrated not only for his remarkable achievements on the track but also for his contributions to sport and media off it.

Best known for holding the world record in the men’s triple jump with a staggering 18.29 metres, a mark he set in 1995 and remains unbeaten, Jonathan’s career is a story of exceptional talent, determination, and resilience.

During his athletic career, he won Olympic gold in Sydney 2000, claimed two World Championship titles, and secured medals at the European and Commonwealth Games, earning him a place among Britain’s most decorated athletes. He was awarded a CBE in 2001, shortly after winning the Olympic gold medal.

Yet Jonathan’s impact extends far beyond his sporting accolades. Since retiring in 2003, he has built a successful career in broadcasting and media, as a presenter and commentator for the BBC and Eurosport, covering major events including the Olympics, World Championships, and the Tour de France.

Jonathan is an accomplished, eloquent public speaker who particularly relishes facilitator and hosting roles. He has undertaken events for some of the best-known blue chip companies, such as Lloyds, BP, Adidas, Coca-Cola, Deloitte, and Panasonic.
