Jessica Fostekew is a stand-up comedian and actress.
Her stand-up show ‘Hench’ was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award, and since then she has become a regular TV and Radio personality, appearing on everything from Live at the Apollo, QI, and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
She co-hosts The Guilty Feminist podcast with Deborah Frances-White and is the host and creator of the chart-scaling podcast Hoovering.
In 2019, Jessica Fostekew was nominated for Best Show at The Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her show ‘Hench’, which then became a sold-out international tour. Her most recent show ‘Breath’, launched in 2025, covers stories about love, family, and middle age, and went on a nationwide tour.

As a comedian, she has appeared on QI, Harry Hill’s Clubnite, and Live at the Apollo.
As well as being a popular comedian, she is also an actress, and has starred in featured films and programmes such as Greed, Official Secrets, Three Girls, The Trouble With Maggie Cole, Motherland, and Cuckoo, across ITV, BBC and Netflix.
Jessica has also written material for Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and The News Quiz. She is a contributing columnist for The Guardian where she has covered topics including body image, parenting, and marriage equality.
